My Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative and creative.

I don’t arrive with set answers or prescribe how the work should unfold. My role is to create a space where you feel as free as possible to explore and share whatever you want—by listening closely, responding genuinely to what you bring, offering open reflections, and following what resonates for you.

We can work entirely through conversation, exploring thoughts, feelings and questions with compassionate curiosity.

At other times, you may feel drawn toward image exploration, writing, art-making, movement, or just noticing what’s happening in your body.

We can discover together what feels useful as the work unfolds.

Creative psychotherapy

For me, creativity in therapy isn’t as much about making art as about how we approach experience.

When just “thinking harder” about something doesn’t get us any further, a creative approach offers another way of attending.

Engaging our imaginative mind allows us to relate to aspects of our experience that can’t be put into words—images, sensations and intuitions.

Paying creative attention to this material can open up new ways of understanding ourselves and responding to the world.

Art-making can be a rich part of this process, but it is only one possibility.

Creativity can also be present in conversation: following a thought or association somewhere unexpected, noticing a connection, or allowing something to take shape before we fully understand it.

You do not need to think of yourself as creative or artistic.

My focus is on helping you draw on the creative capacity we all carry, especially when familiar ways of thinking have reached their limits and we need another way in.
